Hello, my name is Thomas. This is my small space on the internet. It is hosted on a web server and it has a domain name, you know, like Facebook.com. Except I don't share it with 50 billion other users. I guess some people on the internet does not know what a web site is (or homepage) or why one should have one such old fashion item. Especially as they probably already have a Facebook page, a Myspace page, a Google+ account. And then a Gmail email account, another email account from their uni and also a Hotmail account. But let me tell you there once was a time when the internet was not capitalized and was only accessed through a dial-up connection (you know, m-o-d-e-m) at 14.4kbps if you weren't at uni, and pictures were rare except for colored blobs in lists and gray background images that made web site backgrounds look like rock. Back then you had to create your own web page. Write the HTML in a text file and FTP that file to the server. There was no WEB 2.0. There were no smartphones. And only computer literate people were browsing the net.

So why do I have a web site on a dedicated domain name? Nostalgia perhaps. To remember those days of internet's youth.. When Mosaic ruled the waves.

But I am not only old fashioned. I also read (bare with me..). Occasionally. And in true WEB 2.0 spirit (there it comes) the list below includes the latest books that I've read, dynamically updated. Click the links to see what I have to say about each.
