Books

It is one of the classic science-fiction books around and, I would take a guess that it is aimed at a fairly young audience. But it has exactly that what is so typical with one of the classics - that is that it is a fairly simple and straight forward story that at the same time is very clever and very enjoyable also by an older reader.
The outline of the story is that humankind has fought an attacking alien race twice and has barely survived, and is now expecting a third attack. To prepare, the military maintains an academy for the best and brightest students found in the country, who are there trained in war. Ender is one of those students.
It is a clever novel, and I enjoyed it. Especially Ender's sibling's political exploits using blogs to push their political agenda in a forum similar to today's internet (remember this book was first published in 1985).
